Mettering system for ACMC
Initial situation
In order to reduce losses and save energy supplies, as well as to improve the accounting system of electrical energy, “Yerenergo” CJSC has implemented the Automated Information Measuring Systems of Monitoring and Mettering of Electricity – Mettering on “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine”.
The conceptual design of Mettering on “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine” is following:
1.Integration into the system of commercial points of electric energy accounting.
2.Integration into the system of the most reseau points of technical accounting of electric energy.
Basic objectives for the investment of the accounting system
Data collection of commercial and technical accounting from 18 substations with nominal voltage from 0,4 to 110 kV.
Complete automation of commercial accounting.
Protection against illegal access and electrical energy embezzlement.
Monitoring and the determination of the loss structure.
System decisions
Mettering system is built on the basis of Elster – Metronica software – technical means:
Multifunctional microprocessor-based electrical energy meters of EuroALPHA series (approx. 50 items).
Alpha CENTER software provision for multilevel systems.
Computer and linking facilities, workstation, database server.
Mettering for “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine” CJSC is created as a hierarchical automated system. It includes the following levels of hierarchy:
The level of Mettering of energy objects.
The level of data collecting and processing center (DCPC).
Standard structure of DCPC and energy objects
At “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine” CJSC substations are installed electrical energy meters of Euro Alpha class series (approx. 50 units) with accuracy 0,2S and 0,5S, which measure active and reactive energy and power in two directions. All the counters are equipped with additional memory card for storing the load curves, and with digital interface card RS-485 for connection to communication outfit and data transfer to higher levels. The meters are equipped with a function of power backup for securing the operation of the meters during the disconnection of the equipment.
Euro Alpha meters provide an opportunity to collect secure network parameters. A server is installed in data collection and processing center.
Organization of communication
Telephone switched and dedicated lines of connection are the basic data collection channels of connection with the substations. The planned resolution of data collection in DCPC depends on the condition of the communication with the specific energy facilities and ranges from 30 minutes to twenty-four hours. A possibility of data collecting is supported with using all communication facilities. Data and functions of PCDC protection from unauthorized access is realized at the expense of software and hardware tools (authorization and authentication of users, packet filtering), as well as at the expense of limiting of physical access to the server of PCDC.
In A Mettering of “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine” informational interaction is provided between the system of Mettering and “Electric Networks of Armenia” CJSC.
Formats of data export-import were provided in Alpha Center for the reason of which data exchange with related subjects can be provided.
Results
Activities on the implementation of the first stage of Mettering system in CJSC “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine” CJSC on behalf of “Yerenergo” CJSC were completed in 2003.
Activities on the implementation of the second stage were completed in 2005. Mettering system in Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Compbine supplies automatic data collection from all the electrical energy meters.
The assigned task of the system is fulfilled and the system is put in commission. The reduction of losses and the economy of electrical energy consumption are achieved up to 15%.
At present an exploration is carried for implementation of the third stage of the Mettering system at “Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine” CJSC.
