Modernization of excavators

The program of modernization of excavators ЭКГ-8И is introduced at “Zangezour Copper-Molybdenum Combine” by “Yerenergo” CJSC in 2005. The modernization of excavator supported to leave the iron as it is and realize complete exchange of electrical part. For those tasks solution the implementations of “Consolidated Energy” company were employed in the sphere of software support and equipment – digital control system which is at present one of the advanced in the sphere of excavators and boring machines.

The essence and achieved at this advantages in the main of new generation of the electric drives control system “Generator-Drive” and electronic equipment are based on specific features of digital control system. The obvious advantage of the new system is its diagnosability and provision with the diagnostic devices realized by the instrumentality of briefcase computer with special software support and special cables for connecting to the communication centre and stations. In coloured graphical and table form maintenance staff is permitted to see and control the work of the separate nodes of the control system, quickly identify unworkable or working with concession from parameters of right operation elements and nodes of the control system, to make a decision of their reconfiguration, substitution or repair.
The substitution of all cable management and transformers is performed. New cable journal is composed.

New electrical equipment is included in the complete set:

1. Entrance bay
2. Bay of subsidiary drives
3. Bay of main drives
4. Relay-contractor bay
5. High-voltage bushing cell
6. Seat-panel

During contract supervision operations and balancing and commissioning the instruction of installation, setup and operation of the new system of operating the excavator was provided by the specialists of “Zangezour Copper-Molybdenum Combine” CJSC.

All the activities for this project of modernization of excavator ЭКГ-8И and excavator 7 are completely fulfilled by “Yerenergo” CJSC.
